Help us celebrate 50 years of Age Concern Stourbridge & Halesowen!

On Saturday 17 May we are holding a 70s themed party to help us celebrate our golden anniversary and we are inviting everyone along to help us to party (and raise funds).

For only £10 per person guests can enjoy:

  • 2.00pm 70s themed buffet opens
  • 2.00-3.00pm arts & crafts
  • 3.00-4.00pm child friendly bingo
  • 3.30pm 70s themed quiz
  • 3.30-4.00pm music/disco
  • 4.00-6.00pm Elvis Tribute
  • 6.00pm close/closing remarks

Although not compulsory, guests are invited to dust off their 70s glad rags: flares, double denim, and glam rock outfits are all encouraged.

Numbers are limited, so we are asking everyone to purchase their tickets prior to the event.  Simply drop into the Elton Centre to buy them, or telephone  01384 390065.

We would particularly like anyone involved in our charity over the last 50 years to attend – to enable them to see how the charity has evolved over the last half a century.  Staff and volunteers (past and present) are invited to attend free of charge – just let us know you’ll be coming along.

Join us for Talkin’ Tables

Have you joined us for our regular Talkin’ Tables session yet?
It’s a great opportunity to have a chat, make new friends and simply get out of the house for a couple of hours.

We meet every Monday and Tuesday from 10.30am until 11.30am here at the Elton Centre (St John’s Road, DY8 1HA).

So, what happens?
You simply turn up, grab a tea or coffee, join one of the designated tables and have a chat.

What do you talk about?
Just about anything – as long as doesn’t cause offence, etc.

What does it cost?
Absolutely nothing.

Can I grab a bite to eat?
Of course. Our cafe will be open so you can drop in for breakfast, lunch or a snack.

Go on, give it a try and help combat isolation.
