New Advice Webpages Launched to Support Local Older People

We have launched a set of new advice webpages to make it easier for older people to find reliable information, complete online forms, and stay updated on changes in legislation.

The webpages complement the charity’s long‑running free advice service, which supported 166 local residents between October 2024 and September 2025 — helping them secure more than £300,000 in benefits they were entitled to.

The volunteer advice team offers confidential help to anyone aged 55+, covering benefits entitlement, form completion, Blue Badge applications, pensions, care and support, housing, and more.

Chair of Trustees, David Harbach, said the new webpages will “help people find the right information themselves, freeing up our team to support those who struggle with online systems or need one‑to‑one guidance.”
