Volunteers Wanted!
If you’re already an active Age Concern member, have a family member or friend using our facilities, or are looking for something to enrich your life – then why not consider joining us as a volunteer?
Volunteers are the lifeblood of our charity and without such individuals’ help we would be unable to provide practical advice, help, and support to older people in our local area.
So many older people are facing isolation and financial hardship – but your involvement could make all of the difference.
Why not check out the rest of our webpages to find out more about us, then email us at info@acsh.org.uk if you’d like to register your interest and arrange a call back.

Join us for Talkin’ Tables
Have you joined us for our regular Talkin’ Tables session yet?
It’s a great opportunity to have a chat, make new friends and simply get out of the house for a couple of hours.
We meet every Monday and Tuesday from 10.30am until 11.30am here at the Elton Centre (St John’s Road, DY8 1HA).
So, what happens?
You simply turn up, grab a tea or coffee, join one of the designated tables and have a chat.
What do you talk about?
Just about anything – as long as doesn’t cause offence, etc.
What does it cost?
Absolutely nothing.
Can I grab a bite to eat?
Of course. Our cafe will be open so you can drop in for breakfast, lunch or a snack.
Go on, give it a try and help combat isolation.
